Job summary

Saint Joseph Medical Center - Joliet is seeking a Cath Lab Tech (ARRT-R Required) to join our Cardiology team in Joliet, IL. This full-time role supports diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, maintaining sterile technique and real-time hemodynamic monitoring to optimize patient outcomes.

The position requires ARRT-R licensure, BCLS, ACLS within 30 days, and preferred VI certification, along with proficient computer skills. Eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus per interview terms.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist in life-saving cardiac procedures – work side-by-side with physicians during diagnostic and interventional cases.
• Own the procedure room – scrub in, maintain sterile technique, and ensure everything is ready for seamless cases.
• Monitor real-time hemodynamic data and its impact on patient outcomes.
• Keep operations running strong – manage supplies, equipment, and room readiness at a high level.
• Grow within a skilled team – support training, collaborate with peers, and participate in continuous improvement.
• Contribute to both invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures across cases.
• Deliver safe, high-quality care – uphold top standards in patient safety and infection control.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• 1. ARRT-R and licensed as required by State; VI (Vascular Interventional Technologist) preferred.
• 2. Previous experience in a Interventional Radiology department preferred.
• 3. BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current.
• 4. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); required within 30 days of hire.
• 5. Proficient computer skills.
