Job summary

Springfield Memorial Hospital is seeking a Cardiac Special Procedures Tech to perform technical work in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and support physicians during procedures. Responsibility includes operating x-ray equipment and maintaining radiation safety.

This on-site, full-time role offers a $20,000-$40,000 sign-on bonus and incentive pay for Cath Lab shifts once orientation is completed. Requires ARRT, Illinois license, ACLS, and 2+ years in cath lab.

Qualifications

• Licensed radiologic technologist with ARRT certification required.
• Illinois license and ARRT certification necessary for employment.
• ECG training to be completed within 12 months of hire.
• ACLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical work for patients in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory.
• Assist physicians during procedures and ensure proper operation of x-ray equipment.
• Maintain radiation safety and compliance throughout procedures.

Education

Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety license

American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certificate

Basic EKG class completed within 1 year of hire

Job Description Summary: Perform responsible technical work on patients in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. Responsible for the operation of various types of equipment and apparatus in providing assistance and support to the physicians performing procedures. Responsible for the proper operation of x-ray equipment and radiation safety.

Schedule Full Time, Day Shift $20,000-$40,000 Sign-on Bonus! Additional Cath Lab $20 per hour Incentive Pay for all shifts worked once orientation is completed.

Education: Graduate of approved School of Radiology or equivalent training (if hired before September, 1990).

Licensure/Certification/Registry:

• Illinois Department of Illinois Emergence Management Agency Division of Nuclear Safety license required.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certificate required.
• Has successfully completed a basic EKG class within one year of hire.
• ACLS certification required.

Experience: Has a minimum of two year’s experience as a Cardiac Special Procedures Tech.

Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Completion of radiation safety classes within 90 days of employment is required.

Pay Transparency $29.44 - $45.64 Additional compensation in the form(s) of participation in our annual incentive program are dependent on role. Pay is based on factors such as work experience, education, certification(s), training, skills, and competencies related to the role.
