Job summary

Platte Valley Hospital in Brighton, Colorado, is seeking a Cath Lab Registered Nurse / CVIS II to join our skilled cardiovascular team. You’ll scrub, circulate, and monitor during complex diagnostic and interventional procedures and collaborate closely with physicians and technologists.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care, ongoing education, and mentorship, with a $20,000 sign-on for experienced RNs and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Current RN license or qualifying CVIS credentials.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification (or obtained within 3 months of hire).
• RCIS, RCES, ARRT-CI, ARRT-VI, or RN with cardiovascular experience (required by Mar 1, 2026).
• Demonstrated competency in invasive cardiovascular procedures.
• Minimum 12 hours of continuing education annually.
• Fluoroscopy Operator Certification (Colorado requirement).
• Additional certifications as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Scrub, circulate, and monitor during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures.
• Assess and monitor patients before, during, and after procedures.
• Recognize and respond to patient status changes and procedural complications.
• Operate and troubleshoot specialized cath lab equipment and imaging systems.
• Document procedural data, hemodynamic measurements, and patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and technologists to deliver care.
• Provide patient and family education while ensuring comfort and support.
• Assist with inventory management and procedural preparation.
• Support quality initiatives, data collection, and regulatory requirements.
• Serve as a mentor and preceptor for new caregivers.
• Participate in staff education and skills development programs.
