Job summary

Platte Valley Hospital in Brighton, Colorado is seeking a Cath Lab Registered Nurse / CVIS II to join a highly skilled cardiovascular team. You will scrub, circulate, and monitor during diagnostic and interventional procedures, while ensuring patient safety and education throughout the care continuum.

Qualified candidates will hold an RN license or CVIS credentials, BLS, ACLS, and appropriate cardiovascular certifications, with ongoing education and a commitment to teamwork.

Qualifications

• Current RN license or qualifying CVIS credentials
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification (or obtained within 3 months of hire)
• RCIS, RCES, ARRT-CI, ARRT-VI, or RN with relevant cardiovascular experience (required beginning March 1, 2026)
• Demonstrated competency in invasive cardiovascular procedures
• Minimum 12 hours of continuing education annually
• Additional certifications as required by state regulations

Responsibilities

• Scrub, circulate, and monitor during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures
• Assess and monitor patients before, during, and after procedures
• Recognize and respond quickly to patient status changes and procedural complications
• Operate and troubleshoot specialized cath lab equipment and imaging systems
• Document procedural data, hemodynamic measurements, and patient outcomes
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and technologists to deliver exceptional care
• Provide patient and family education while ensuring comfort and support
• Assist with inventory management and procedural preparation
• Support quality initiatives, data collection, and regulatory requirements
• Serve as a mentor and preceptor for new caregivers
• Participate in staff education and skills development programs
