Job summary

Platte Valley Hospital in Brighton, Colorado, is hiring an experienced Cath Lab RN/CVIS II to join a highly skilled cardiovascular team. You will scrub, circulate, monitor, and support complex diagnostic, interventional, and electrophysiology procedures, collaborating with physicians and techs to deliver optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications include an active RN license or CVIS credentials, BLS and ACLS, and invasive cardiovascular procedure competency.

Qualifications

• Current RN license or CVIS credentials.
• BLS certification; ACLS certification (or within 3 months).
• RCIS, RCES, ARRT-CI, ARRT-VI or RN with cardiovascular experience (by 2026).
• Competency in invasive cardiovascular procedures and 12+ hours CE annually.
• Fluoroscopy Operator Certification required in Colorado.

Responsibilities

• Scrub, circulate, and monitor during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures.
• Assess and monitor patients before, during, and after procedures.
• Recognize and respond quickly to patient status changes and complications.
• Operate and troubleshoot cath lab imaging equipment.
• Document procedural data, hemodynamics, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and technologists to deliver care.
• Educate patients and families; provide comfort and support.
• Assist with inventory and procedural prep; support quality initiatives and regulatory requirements.
• Serve as a mentor/preceptor for new caregivers; participate in staff education.
