Job summary

Platte Valley Hospital in Brighton, Colorado, is seeking a Cath Lab Registered Nurse / CVIS II to join a highly skilled team delivering advanced cardiovascular care. Expect a 40-hour work week with an 8‑hour day shift and a $20,000 sign-on bonus for experienced RNs.

The role involves scrub, circulate, and monitor duties across diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, patient assessment, and collaboration with physicians and staff to ensure exceptional care.

Qualifications

• Current RN license or qualifying CVIS credentials
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification (or obtained within 3 months of hire for adult facilities)
• RCIS, RCES, ARRT-CI, ARRT-VI, or RN with relevant cardiovascular experience (required beginning March 1, 2026)
• Demonstrated competency in invasive cardiovascular procedures
• Minimum 12 hours of continuing education annually
• Additional certifications as required by state regulations

Responsibilities

• Scrub, circulate, and monitor during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures
• Assess and monitor patients before, during, and after procedures
• Recognize and respond quickly to patient status changes and procedural complications
• Operate and troubleshoot specialized cath lab equipment and imaging systems
• Document procedural data, hemodynamic measurements, and patient outcomes
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and technologists to deliver exceptional care
• Provide patient and family education while ensuring comfort and support
• Assist with inventory management and procedural preparation
• Support quality initiatives, data collection, and regulatory requirements
• Serve as a mentor and preceptor for new caregivers
• Participate in staff education and skills development programs
