Job summary

Vail Health in Colorado is seeking a Cath Lab RN to join a top cardiovascular team. You will deliver patient care across diagnostic and interventional procedures, work independently with limited supervision, and collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.

You will have 2+ years of Cath Lab RN experience, hold an active Colorado RN license (or a valid compact state), and possess BLS and ACLS. An Associate Degree in Nursing is required, with a working knowledge of invasive

  • 2+ years of Cath Lab RN experience (required).
  • Active RN license in Colorado or a valid compact state.
  • BLS (required).
  • ACLS (required).
  • Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (minimum).
  • Working knowledge of invasive cardiovascular technology.

Responsibilities

  • Works within a team environment with individuals having similar abilities and responsibilities.
  • Handles emergency situations during high-risk procedures with calm professional demeanor.
  • Demonstrates good communication skills and ability to teach patients while providing a calming effect with patients and families.
  • Functions in the role of scrub, circulator or monitor technician on a rotating basis. Completes all functions of each role with regard to patient safety and adherence to infection control practices.
  • Participates in on-call responsibilities and responds within 30 minutes.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and competence in basic invasive cardiovascular technology.
  • Prepares and operates radiographic equipment safely.
  • Assists with quality assurance or performance projects as directed.
  • Assists with determining educational needs of staff and training of fellow staff members.

About the opportunity

As a Cath Lab RN, you’ll play a critical role in delivering exceptional cardiovascular care across diagnostic and interventional procedures. You’ll assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while functioning confidently in a dynamic, high‑risk environment.

You’ll work independently with limited supervision, collaborate closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, and help advance best practices through education, quality initiatives, and mentorship.

What you will do

  • Participates in “on‑call” responsibilities and responds when required within 30 minutes.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and competence in basic invasive cardiovascular technology.
  • Prepares and operates sophisticated radiographic equipment including x-ray table, camera, video recorders, ultrasound machine and pressure injectors safely.
  • Assists with quality assurance or performance projects as directed.
  • Assists with determining educational needs of the staff. Communicates with the Manager and assists in the development and training of fellow staff members.
  • Models the principles of a Just Culture and Organizational Values.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. Must be HIPAA compliant.
What You'll Need
Experience
  • 2+ years of Cath Lab RN experience (required)
Licensure

Pay is based upon relevant education and experience per hour.

Hourly Pay:: $40.56 USD - $64.68 USD
