Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee patient care in the Cath Lab.
• Collaborate with cardiologists and healthcare teams during invasive procedures.

• Document procedures and ensure timely follow-up care.
• Support unit operations, mentor staff, and participate in quality improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee patient care throughout the Cardiac Catheterization Lab.
• Collaborate with cardiologists and multidisciplinary healthcare teams during invasive cardiac procedures.
• Assist with scrubbing, hemodynamic monitoring, equipment operation, and procedural support.
• Monitor patient status, document procedures, and ensure timely follow-up care.
• Manage patient flow while ensuring safe, efficient, and compassionate care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain high standards of clinical excellence.
• Support unit operations, mentor staff, and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
• Participate in the on-call rotation and demonstrate flexibility in scheduling.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Illinois.
• Current CPR Certification.
• ACLS Certification (required for Critical Care and ER experience).
• Experience in Cardiac Catheterization Lab (Cath Lab) or invasive cardiology is highly preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care skills.
