Job summary

The Cath Lab RN position at HCA Healthcare, Inc. supports diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cath Lab, delivering direct patient care and preparing patients for exams.

Under supervision, you’ll administer medications, start IVs, document data, and assist with staff orientation and education while maintaining competency and performance improvement initiatives. Previous Cath Lab experience is preferred; ACLS and BLS certifications are required within 30 days of start.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in the state (Texas).
• Associate Degree or Bachelors Degree in Nursing.
• 1 year experience required; cath lab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cath Lab as monitor or circulator.
• Provide individual nursing care and administer medications; start IVs and operate equipment as needed.
• Prepare patients for examinations and document relevant information; interact with patients and physicians.
• Assist with orientation and education of new Cath Lab staff; help with competency checks and in-services.
• Assist with performance improvement activities and related duties as assigned.
