Job summary

The Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Cath Lab at HCA Healthcare, Inc. will perform diagnostic and interventional nursing care, support patients and physicians, and ensure safety and quality.

Under general supervision as Cath Lab RN, you will assist with procedures, administer medications, prep patients, document data, and contribute to staff education and performance improvement. Minimum two years in Critical Care/ER or Cath Lab required; Associate’s degree in Nursing with BSN preferred; Texas RN

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Minimum two years’ Critical Care/ER or Cath Lab experience required; Cath Lab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with all diagnostic and interventional procedures in Cath and specials labs as monitor or circulator.
• Provides individual nursing care.
• Administers medication, starts IVs, operates equipment as needed.
• Prepares patients for examination.
• Documents appropriate information.
• Interacts with patients and physicians
• Assists with orientation/education of new Cath Lab staff and competency checks.
• Contributes to performance improvement and related duties.
