Job summary

Methodist Mansfield Medical Center in North Texas seeks a Cardiovascular Tech RCIS to assist with invasive cardiovascular procedures under supervision. Requires RCIS or ARR/ TX RT(R) alternative with six-month window; AHA ACLS is required.

Duties include scrub tech tasks, imaging operation, and patient monitoring in the cath lab. Candidate will assist teaching staff, manage supplies, and support post-procedure care.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in science or commensurate healthcare experience.
• Licenses and/or Certifications (Required and Preferred).
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardio Life Support certification.
• RCIS certification within six months of hire; ARR RT(R) or TX RT(R) may be required in lieu of RCIS.

Responsibilities

• Assist in teaching and orientation of students and new staff.
• Monitor patient status during cath lab procedures and operate physiologic recorder; interpret EKGs and pressures.
• Assist physician with most procedures as a scrub tech and operate imaging equipment.
• Assist with diagnostic procedures as circulator, monitor patient status, and hand supplies to the scrub tech.
