Job summary

Methodist Mansfield Medical Center is seeking a Cardiovascular Tech RCIS to assist with invasive cardiovascular procedures under the supervision of physicians.

The role requires an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in science or healthcare experience, AHA ACLS certification, and RCIS within six months (ARRT/TX RT(R) accepted in lieu of RCIS). Shifts are 10 hours with call.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in science or commensurate healthcare experience.
• Current AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification is required.
• RCIS certification within six months of hire; ARRT(T) is acceptable in lieu of RCIS.

Responsibilities

• Assists in teaching and orientation of students and new staff.
• Assists physician as monitor tech during cath lab procedures, interprets basic and advanced EKGs, and operates physiologic recorder.
• Acts as scrub tech and circulator, monitors patient status, and handles supplies and imaging equipment.
• Transports patients, maintains sterile technique, and prepares lab for procedures.
• Troubleshoots equipment problems and maintains inventory.
