Job summary

Methodist Mansfield Medical Center in Mansfield, TX seeks a Cardiovascular Tech RCIS to assist with invasive cardiovascular procedures under supervision. Responsibilities include monitoring, scrub duties, imaging, and patient transport in a 294-bed acute-care hospital with Level III services.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree with science emphasis or commensurate healthcare experience.
• Current AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
• RCIS certification within six months of hire or ARRT with TX RT(R) in lieu.
• Licenses and/or Certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in teaching and orientation of students and new staff.
• Assist physician as monitor tech during procedures, interpret EKGs, and operate physiologic recorder.
• Assist physician with procedures as scrub tech and operate imaging equipment under physician direction.
• Circulator duties: monitor patient status, hand supplies, and operate imaging equipment as directed.
• Transport patient to/from department and stock cath lab.
• Maintain sterile technique and prep patient for procedures.
• Order supplies for cath lab and manage inventory; monitor medications and dosages.
• Post-procedure care including hemostasis monitoring and sheath removal.
