Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to assist cardiologists in invasive diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cath Lab. You will operate imaging equipment, monitor hemodynamics, and ensure sterile technique throughout complex cardiac cases.

The role requires ARRT radiography, BLS, ACLS within 1 year, and strong EKG interpretation. Candidates collaborate with physicians to maintain patient safety and high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider - American Heart Association (AHA)
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist - Radiography - Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year - American Heart Association (AHA)
• Registered in Radiography (R) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

Responsibilities

• Assist cardiologists in invasive coronary/vascular/EP diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures; set up and operate electrical/imaging equipment and computers
• Demonstrate knowledge of hemodynamic concepts, cardiac anatomy and physiology; operate related equipment
• Demonstrate competency in moderate sedation administration and policy
• Interpret EP concepts and fluoroscopic anatomy for diagnostic and interventional EP procedures
• Communicate effectively with patients to alleviate anxiety and ensure focused care
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
• Maintain aseptic technique and prepare sterile field for procedures
• Identify and respond to complications during procedures and monitor patient status
