Job summary

Carle Health’s Cath Lab team is seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist to assist cardiologists in invasive coronary/vascular/EP procedures and to operate specialized imaging equipment. The role requires BLS, ACLS within 1 year, ARRT registration, and Radiologic Technology certification.

The position emphasizes sterile technique, hemodynamic knowledge, and sedation administration. Collaboration with physicians and teamwork are essential to ensuring patient safety and high-quality outcomes

Responsibilities

Assist cardiologists in performing invasive coronary/vascular/EP diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures.
Set up and operate electrical/imaging equipment and computers.
Knowledge of hemodynamic concepts, cardiac anatomy and physiology.
Knowledge and competence in moderate sedation administration and policy protocol.
Knowledge of EP concepts and fluoroscopic anatomy involved in diagnostic and interventional EP procedures.
Display good judgement and problem-solving skills.
Organize and prioritize performance based on procedural findings.
Recognize and assist in treatment of complications from cardiac/vascular/EP procedures.
Set up sterile table with supplies specific to each procedure.
Ensure correct preparation and draping of patients.
Operate monitoring equipment and imaging systems.
Maintain aseptic technique and prepare sterile field.
