Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an experienced Cath Lab teammate to assist cardiologists in invasive coronary, vascular and EP procedures. You will set up and operate imaging equipment, monitor hemodynamics, perform EKG interpretation, and ensure sterile technique during procedures.

The role emphasizes teamwork, patient advocacy, and readiness to manage equipment and patient needs throughout the interventional suite.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider per American Heart Association
• ACLS certification within 1 year of hire
• Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography
• Certificate of Completion: Radiologic Technology (Required)

Responsibilities

• Assist cardiologists in invasive coronary/vascular/EP procedures using sterile technique
• Set up and operate electrical/imaging equipment and computers
• Monitor hemodyamics and interpret data during procedures
• Demonstrate EKG interpretation and arrhythmia recognition
• Maintain aseptic technique and prepare sterile field
• Assist with sedation and anesthesia needs as required
• Educate patients and coordinate with team to ensure safety and comfort
• Document procedures and manage equipment safety daily
