Job summary

Orlando Health South Lake Hospital is seeking an experienced Clinical Assistant Nurse Manager to lead the Cath Lab (Pre-Post Procedural) with day shifts. This role focuses on delivering high-quality care, improving patient experience, and optimizing patient flow in Clermont, FL.

The CANM provides guidance with Nursing Operations leadership, oversees staff assignments, and drives clinical operations to ensure safe, efficient care delivery. BSN preferred and FL RN licensure required.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• Current Florida RN license or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Certification in area of expertise; preferred.
• May require ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC depending on patient population.
• Minimum of one year of RN experience; cath lab or pre-post procedural experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages staffing assignments for oncoming and off going shifts based on patient acuity and team skills.
• Coordinates patient flow with Admin Supervisors, Care Coordinators, and Discharge Planners.
• Monitors status of patients and critically ill cases within area of responsibility.
• Ensures delivery of care per physician orders and established policies and standards.
• Supports frontline team members and providers as appropriate.
• Leads safety huddles and promotes problem solving.
• Assists with retention strategies for new staff and allocation of breaks.
• Manages fiscal resources and staff deployment to meet operational needs.
