Job summary

Orlando Health is seeking a Clinical Assistant Nurse Manager (CANM) to lead shift operations in a high-acuity setting at the Lakeland Highlands Hospital, part of the Orlando Health Watson Clinic Lakeland Highlands Hospital group.

The CANM will guide patient care, collaborate with nursing operations, and mentor staff to deliver exceptional care while maintaining regulatory readiness and efficient patient flow.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred; leadership-ready nursing background.
• RN licensure in Florida or NLC required or soon.
• BLS certification required for clinical operations.
• May require additional specialty certifications as per unit needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift operations to ensure high-quality care and patient flow.
• Coordinate staffing and patient assignments based on acuity.
• Support frontline staff and providers with safety and quality initiatives.
• Lead nurse rounds, respond to complaints, and ensure regulatory readiness.
• Foster collaboration and professional development within the nursing team.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

RN licensure in Florida or NLC

Current BLS certification

Leadership experience in nursing
