An established industry player in healthcare is seeking a dedicated manager for their cardiac catheterization lab and non-invasive cardiology. The manager for the cardiac catheterization and lab and non-invasive cardiology will work in collaboration with the senior director (immediate supervisor), cardiovascular medical staff leadership, and departmental staff to meet the organization's goals for operational budgets, process improvement, and patient experience for the managers' respective departments.
The manager will assist with the development of capital budgets, monitor the status of existing equipment maintenance and reliability, and partner with the biomed department to ensure patient safety. This role includes oversight of staff development, policy updates, staff competency, and assisting with program development as new programs are rolled out.
Responsibilities also include oversight of charge entry and reconciliation, monitoring daily revenue reports, and participating in process improvement initiatives such as NCDR and STEMI collaborative metrics, along with adherence to GPO agreements in supply chain management.
The manager is responsible for organizing, supervising, and directing quality patient care, coordinating department activities, supervising nursing and technical staff, and ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and the California Nurse Practice Act. The role involves facilitating change, leading initiatives to enhance patient safety, quality, and satisfaction, and collaborating with the patient care team to uphold professional standards.
