DHR Health in Brownsville is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to support the pre-operative team in the Cath Lab. The role requires a nursing background, BLS/CPR, and ACLS within 3 months of hire, with opportunities for cross-training across units.

The LVN will assist with routine care, communicate with physicians and staff, and contribute to patient safety and quality initiatives in a fast-paced hospital environment. Multidisciplinary collaboration is essential to patient outcomes.

Qualificações

• Graduate of accredited school of vocational nursing required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification is required.
• ACLS required within three (3) months of hire.
• Willingness to be crossed trained to other areas.
• Organizational skills is necessary.
• Good written and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to read, write and speak English required.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of nursing, administration, and physicians.

Responsabilidades

• Assists the registered nurse in provisioning nursing care to patients in designated departments.
• Works as part of the pre-operative team.
• Promotes the facility mission, vision and values by effectively communicating them to others.
• Participates as a team member in support of the designated unit.
• Supports risk management and participates in programs directed to patient and employee safety.
• Documents that information received from the patient is disseminated to the appropriate people or departments.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
