Job summary

CLS Health in Houston, TX seeks an experienced Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated team and support patient care for cardiac and peripheral vascular diseases. The ideal candidate will coordinate patient flow, collaborate with physicians, supervise staff, and ensure HIPAA compliance while delivering high‑quality nursing care and exceptional service.

This role requires Texas licensure, ACLS certification, and a commitment to regulatory standards in a fast‑paced, 12‑hour shift

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing with current Texas licensure.
• BSN preferred.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in the Cath Lab.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in post-cath lab patient recovery.
• Experience collaborating with physicians in the treatment of cardiac and peripheral vascular disease.
• ACLS certification required.
• Understands regulatory compliance with state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the coordination of patient care, including appointment scheduling, triage, and room assignments.
• Provide high level customer service and maintain a culturally sensitive environment.
• Manage a team and ensure compliance with quality of service guidelines.
• Maintain positive working relationships with customers in line with core values.
• Ensure HIPAA and OSHA compliance; implement quality assurance protocols and perform audits.
• Maintain voicemail and timely call handling; ensure prompt medication refills and appropriate authorizations.
• Oversee administrative functions such as billing, coding, and medical records management.
• Supervise the ordering, storage, and utilization of medical supplies and equipment.
• Oversee providers and give direction to midlevel providers working under a physician.
• Ensure providers perform duties effectively and per guidelines.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Schedules- 12-hour shifts

We are Looking for:

We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated team and support our mission of enhancing patient health outcomes. The ideal candidate will have experience working alongside physicians in the treatment and care of patients with cardiac and peripheral vascular disease.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the coordination of patient care, including appointment scheduling, triage, and room assignments. Ensure timely and efficient patient flow, minimizing wait times and optimizing patient experience. Resolve patient complaints and professionally.
• Provides high level of customer service in all interactions. Maintain an open and accepting environment by remaining culturally sensitive to all patients.
• Manages a team and ensures they comply with company guidelines particularly related to quality of service.
• Maintain positive working relationships and coordinate activities with all customers in alignment with practice core values
• Ensure the clinic complies with all relevant healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA standards. Implement and monitor quality assurance protocols to maintain high standards of patient care. Perform periodic audits to identify areas for improvement and take corrective actions.
• Ensure optimal phone answer rate (> 85%). Ensure voicemails are checked and calls are returned and documented. By the end of the day, the voicemail box should be cleared.
• Ensure medications are being refilled promptly (Same day). Creating protocols with the physicians regarding medication refills. Prior Authorizations Medication and Surgeries: Handle through various portals, fax, or phone authorizations.
• Oversee administrative functions such as billing, coding, medical records management, and inventory control. Ensure compliance with regulations and standards related to healthcare administration.
• Supervise the ordering, storage, and utilization of medical supplies and equipment. Maintain an inventory control system to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing wastage.
• Oversees providers and provides direction to midlevel healthcare providers (such as physician assistants or nurse practitioners) who work under the supervision of a physician.
• Ensure that these providers are performing their duties effectively and in accordance with established guidelines.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Schedules- 12-hour shifts

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing with current Texas Licensure
• B.S.N. Preferred
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in the Cath Lab
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in post-cath lab patient recovery
• Must have experience collaborating with physicians in the treatment of patients with cardiac and peripheral vascular disease
