Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida is seeking a cardiovascular imaging specialist to support interventional radiology and cardiac cath procedures. You will verify orders, assist in procedures, and maintain records while ensuring patient safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ECG training and arrhythmia interpretation.
• Knowledge of Cardiovascular anatomy.
• Knowledge of Vascular anatomy.
• Knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring and physiology.
• Ability to communicate with patients, families, and staff.
• Knowledge of healthcare industry concepts and procedures.
• Ability to monitor patient vitals with clinical equipment.
• Ability to learn Radiology software packages such as EMR, Current PACS.
• Maintain compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
• Maintain registries and licenses to perform imaging procedures.
• Follow ALARA radiation safety principles.

Responsibilities

• Verifies orders, facilitates implementation, and communicates with physicians as needed.
• Administers and evaluates treatments and medications per policy.
• Responds to clinical emergencies within scope of practice.
• Maintains and operates equipment for cardiovascular procedures.
• Produces accurate medical records for each patient.
• Trains and supervises new personnel and provides education.
• Participates in quality and performance improvement activities.
• Ensures adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
• Maintains accurate medical records and documentation.
• Demonstrates leadership within the cardiovascular team.
• Takes scheduled emergency calls and responds promptly.
• Performs diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures.
