Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando is seeking an experienced cardiovascular professional to perform diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures, including coronary, EP, Interventional radiology, and peripheral interventions. You will respond to emergencies, administer treatments, verify orders, and maintain records in a collaborative cardiovascular team.

Required RN or technologist credentials, 1+ healthcare experience, and certifications such as BLS/ACLS.

Qualifications

• ECG training and arrhythmia interpretation required.
• Cardiovascular anatomy knowledge required.
• Vascular anatomy knowledge required.
• Hemodynamic monitoring knowledge required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, hospital staff and physicians.
• Knowledge of healthcare industry concepts and practices.
• Ability to monitor blood pressure, ECG and pulse oximetry with clinical equipment.
• Basic computer skills and MS Office.
• Must read, write and speak conversational English.
• Experience with interventional radiology and electrophysiology handling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures.
• Responds to clinical emergencies within scope of practice.
• Administers and evaluates treatments and medications per policy.
• Verifies orders and communicates with physicians as needed.
• Maintains and operates CV equipment and supplies with proper sterilization.
• Produces medical records for each intervention.
• Trains and supervises new personnel.
• Participates in quality and performance improvement activities.
• Maintains secure medical records and follows documentation processes.
• Adheres to regulatory standards and safety regulations.
• Demonstrates leadership within the cardiovascular team.
• Responds to scheduled emergency calls.
• Other duties as assigned.
