Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent; two-year college or technical school.
• BLS required upon hire.
• ACLS required within 12 months of hire.
• Language skills to read, analyze, and present information.
• Mathematical skills to calculate figures and volumes.
• Reasoning ability to solve practical problems and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Locates historical information on patient and updates files after procedures.
• Performs regular cleaning of equipment and supplies.
• Inspects catheters and guide wires for expiration dates and stocks supplies.
• Follows all radiation safety guidelines and procedures.
• Schedules lab procedures and reviews pertinent patient history and data.
• Assists physicians with catheter insertions and imaging-guided procedures.
• Recognizes dysrhythmias and EKG changes.
• Records data and calculates ejection fractions and cardiac outputs.
• Maintains cath lab network computers including WITT and PACS.
• Reviews procedures and applies appropriate charges.
