Job summary

Methodist Southwest Medical Center in the Dallas area seeks a Cardiovascular Tech RCIS to assist with invasive cardiovascular procedures under physician direction. The role supports the cath lab team and ensures patient safety during complex studies.

Responsibilities include monitoring dysrhythmia, operating physiologic recorders, assisting as scrub tech and circulator, and preparing the lab and supplies for procedures.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree, science emphasis or commensurate healthcare experience.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardio Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• RCIS certification within eighteen (18) months of date of hire or ARRT and TX RT(R) in lieu.
• Licenses and/or Certifications required and preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in teaching and orientation of students and new staff.
• Monitors dysrhythmia and EKGs and operates physiologic recorder.
• Assists physician as a scrub tech and operates imaging equipment.
• Monitors patient status as circulator and assists with procedures.
• Transports patient to and from department and prepares lab for procedures.
• Maintains sterile technique and inventories supplies.
