Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Georgia is seeking a Cardiovascular Technologist I for a part-time 16-hour/week role in the cath/EP lab. You will support diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures, learn sterile technique, and assist physicians under supervision.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED with healthcare-related education, and ACLS/BLS certifications on hire. Prior cath lab exposure and strong communication are highly valued as you join a collaborative team committed

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; higher health-science degrees preferred.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required on hire.
• Minimum 1 year medical setting experience; cath/EP exposure preferred.
• Basic knowledge of cardiovascular cath or electrophysiology procedures; basic EKG and radiation safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Be flexible with hours to meet departmental needs.
• Work scheduled and cath lab On-Call hours as required.
• Maintain patient privacy and proper communication with staff and patients.
• Assist with documentation and data entry in cath lab logs.
• Prepare supplies and equipment for procedures.
• Maintain licensure and BLS/ACLS certifications.
• Provide patient education pre- and post-procedure as directed.
• Collaborate with cath_lab team to optimize patient outcomes.
