Part Time Days 16 Hours per week.
The Cardiovascular Technologist I is a professional without Cath lab &/or interventional experience training to assist during diagnostic and therapeutic invasive cardiovascular procedures. He/she will train to assist the physician during the procedures and operate specialized equipment in a safe and efficient manner. The Cardiovascular Technologist I is responsible for maintaining sterile technique during procedures and assisting the Cath_EP Lab Manager/Director in the maintenance of a safe and efficient environment dealing primarily with adults eighteen to sixty-five, and geriatric patients over the age of sixty-five. The cardiovascular technologist I may participates in the cath or EP call rotation once appropriately oriented and checked off on clinical and operational competencies.

All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
Minimum 1 year Work experience in a medical setting one year of relevant experience with a associate degree or higher Required or
Minimum 1 year one year of specific experience in a medical setting (i.e. LPN, RT, EMT/Paramedic) with high school diploma Required
Basic knowledge of cardiovascular cath or electrophysiology procedures, patient positioning, exposure factors and radiation protection. Required special/advanced procedure registry as outline above. Basic knowledge of electrocardiography, coronary heart disease, cardiac anatomy and physiology preferred with EKG interpretation. Basic knowledge of hemodynamics, intracardiac electrograms, and electrophysiology equipment. Ability to react quickly to emergency patient care situations Ability to maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees, patients, families and physicians. The individual must be able to communicate and understand verbal and written English language and display a positive attitude.
