Job summary

Mercy Health in Ohio seeks a dedicated healthcare assistant to perform technical duties, transport post-catheterization patients, and provide compassionate adult/geriatric care. The role includes aseptic prep and day-to-day assignments under supervision.

Qualified candidates have EKG training, BLS, and strong interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and physicians. Full-time with day shifts and rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of heart anatomy/physiology from LPN with medical training, formal Medical Assistant program, or 2 years of EKG program.
• Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and physicians.
• Must have Basic Life Support experience.
• 4–6 months on-the-job training in EKG interpretation, aseptic techniques and test procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing various technical duties including aseptically preparing authorization site.
• Transport patients post-catheterization to their destination.
• Provide patient care to adults and geriatrics.
• Additional duties as assigned daily.
