Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a qualified assistant to support aseptic preparation, patient transport after catheterization, and general patient care for adults and geriatrics. The role operates under general supervision with day-to-day duties assigned as needed.

Requirements include an LPN with training, or Medical Assistant program, or 2 years of EKG study, plus Basic Life Support experience. Weekend and holiday rotation applies; benefits are available with eligibility.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of heart anatomy/physiology from LPN, medical assistant program, or 2 years of EKG training.
• Interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families and physicians.
• Basic Life Support experience required.
• 4–6 months on-the-job training in EKG interpretation, aseptic techniques and test procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in aseptically preparing authorization site and transporting patients after procedures.
• Provide patient care to adult and geriatric patients under supervision.
• Perform various daily duties as assigned.
