Job summary

HUNGRY is hiring event drivers in the Boston area to pick up equipment in Newton, transport food from vendors to client sites, and support event setup and execution with a customer-focused approach.

Roles require use of a personal vehicle, a valid driver's license and insurance, and strong communication. No full-time commitment is stated; detail-oriented, energetic candidates with food service or event experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pick up equipment at hub in Newton, pick up food from vendor, transport to client sites throughout Boston area and complete designated set up or drop off.
• Host catering events for our business clients throughout the Boston area
• Strategically coordinate with other members of the HUNGRY team
• Operate efficiently with a customer-oriented mindset
• Professionally answer food-related questions and guide guests
• Effective communication to ensure that all elements of the event are executed
• High level attention to detail and outgoing personality
• Maintain professional demeanor and appearance during events

The Gig

• Days of Operations: Monday-Friday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday preferred (8am-2pm)
• Pay: gig-based, equivalent to approximately $24/hr
• Requires use of personal vehicle for most events (seeking drivers with vehicle, license, and auto insurance)
• Pick up equipment at hub in Newton, pick up food from vendor, transport to client sites throughout Boston area and complete designated set up or drop off.
• Host catering events for our business clients throughout the Boston area

Requirements

• Reliable transportation (use personal vehicle)
• Valid driver's license and insurance
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
• 18+ years of age

• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Food service, catering, or event experience is a plus

Benefits
