Job summary

Hungry is hiring drivers for weekday breakfast and lunch events across NYC. You will pick up equipment, shuttle food from vendors, and set up at client sites.

You’ll host catering events for corporate clients, coordinate with teammates, and ensure guests receive friendly, accurate service. Reliable transportation, a valid license and insurance are required, and food service experience is a plus.

• Food service, catering, or event experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Pick up equipment at hub in Long Island City and transport to client sites.
• Pickup food from vendor and complete designated setup.
• Host catering events for our business clients in NYC.
• Coordinate with team and maintain a customer-oriented mindset.
• Answer food-related questions and guide guests.
• Ensure all elements of the event are executed with care and professionalism.
• Maintain professional demeanor and appearance during events.

The Gig:

• Days of Operations: Monday-Friday, Breakfast and Lunch Events (8am-2pm)
• Requires use of personal vehicle for most events (seeking drivers with vehicle, license, and auto insurance)
• Pick up equipment at hub in Long Island City, pick up food from vendor, transport to client site and complete designated set up.
• Host catering events for our business clients throughout NYC, including Manhattan
• Strategically coordinate with other members of the HUNGRY team
• Operate efficiently with a customer-oriented mindset.
• Professionally answer food-related questions and guide guests.
• Effective communication to ensure that all elements of the event are executed.
• High level attention to detail and outgoing personality
• Maintain professional demeanor and appearance during events
• Ability to choose when and how much you work.

• Reliable transportation (use personal vehicle)
• Valid driver’s license and insurance.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
• 18+ years of age.
• Authorized to work in the US.
• Engaging, energetic, and customer-oriented.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Food service, catering, or event experience is a plus.

Compensation: Gig-Dependent (on average, equivalent to approximately $22-24/hr + 100% of Client Tips
