Job summary

HUNGRY Marketplace is seeking drivers to support Boston-area catering events. You will pick up equipment at our Newton hub, collect food from vendors, and deliver to client sites for setup or drop-off.

As a team member, you’ll host events, coordinate with colleagues, maintain a professional, customer-focused presence, and ensure smooth operations. A valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service, catering, or events is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Pick up equipment at hub in Newton, pick up food from vendor, transport to client sites throughout Boston area and complete designated set up or drop off.
• Host catering events for our business clients throughout the Boston area
• Strategically coordinate with other members of the HUNGRY team
• Operate efficiently with a customer-oriented mindset
• Professionally answer food-related questions and guide guests
• Effective communication to ensure that all elements of the event are executed
• High level attention to detail and outgoing personality
• Maintain professional demeanor and appearance during events
• Ability to choose when and how much you work
• Reliable transportation (use personal vehicle)
• Valid driver’s license and insurance
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
• 18+ years of age
• Authorized to work in the US
• Engaging, energetic, and customer-oriented
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail

The Gig:

• Days of Operations: Monday-Friday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday preferred (8am-2pm)

• Pay: gig-based, equivalent to approximately $24/hr

• Requires use of personal vehicle for most events (seeking drivers with vehicle, license, and auto insurance)
