Job summary

HUNGRY is seeking dependable event hosts/drivers to support weekday and weekend catering in the Chicago area. You will pick up equipment and food from vendors, transport to client sites, and assist with setup and service for corporate events.

The role requires using your own vehicle, a valid license, and insurance, plus strong, friendly communication and attention to detail to ensure flawless execution of every event.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation required.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
• Engaging, energetic, customer-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Host catering events for business clients in the Chicago area.
• Transport equipment and food between hubs and client sites.

The Gig

• Days of Operations: Monday-Friday, Breakfast and Lunch Events (8am-2pm)
• Pay: gig-based, equivalent to approximately $21-23/hr + 100% of client tips
• Requires use of personal vehicle for most events (seeking drivers with vehicle, license, and auto insurance)
  • Pick up equipment at hub, pick up food from vendor, transport to client site and complete designated set up or drop off.
  • Host catering events for our business clients throughout the Chicago area
• Strategically coordinate with other members of the HUNGRY team
• Operate efficiently with a customer-oriented mindset
• Professionally answer food-related questions and guide guests
• Effective communication to ensure that all elements of the event are executed
• High level attention to detail and outgoing personality
• Maintain professional demeanor and appearance during events
• Ability to choose when and how much you work

Requirements

• Reliable transportation (use personal vehicle)
• Valid driver's license and insurance
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
• 18+ years of age
• Authorized to work in the US
• Engaging, energetic, and customer-oriented
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Food service, catering, or event experience is a plus
