Job summary

HUNGRY is hiring event-driven drivers in Chicago to host catering events for corporate clients. Use your own vehicle, pick up and transport food and equipment, and set up or drop off at client sites.

Pay is gig-based, roughly $21–$23 per hour plus 100% of client tips, with flexible hours and opportunities to work with a dynamic hospitality team.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Authorized to work in the US.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs.
• Food service, catering, or event experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Pick up equipment at hub, pick up food from vendor, transport to client site and complete designated set up or drop off.
• Host catering events for our business clients throughout the Chicago area.
• Coordinate with other members of the HUNGRY team.
• Communicate to ensure all event elements are executed.

The Gig:

• Days of Operations: Monday-Friday, Breakfast and Lunch Events (8am-2pm)
• Pay: gig-based, equivalent to approximately $21-23/hr + 100% of client tips.
• Requires use of personal vehicle for most events (seeking drivers with vehicle, license, and auto insurance)
  • Pick up equipment at hub, pick up food from vendor, transport to client site and complete designated set up or drop off.
  • Host catering events for our business clients throughout the Chicago area
• Strategically coordinate with other members of the HUNGRY team
• Operate efficiently with a customer-oriented mindset.
• Professionally answer food-related questions and guide guests.
• Effective communication to ensure that all elements of the event are executed.
• High level attention to detail and outgoing personality
• Maintain professional demeanor and appearance during events
• Ability to choose when and how much you work.
