Commonwealth Hotels invites applications for a Hotel Catering Sales Manager at Embassy Suites Akron Canton Airport and Fairfield Inn Canton. This on-site role leads catering sales efforts, engaging corporate groups and planners to secure events and drive revenue in Akron, OH.

You will coordinate with banquet, culinary, and operations teams, prepare compelling proposals, and cultivate lasting client relationships while delivering top-tier service under Hilton-brand standards.

Responsibilities

• Generate catering and banquet revenue through prospecting, lead development, and client engagement.
• Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and community organizations.
• Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and secure event bookings maximizing profitability.
• Conduct property tours and sales presentations to prospective clients.
• Coordinate event details with banquet, culinary, and operations teams.
• Manage Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and ensure flawless event execution.
• Identify upselling opportunities to increase catering revenue.
• Participate in networking events, trade shows, and community activities to generate new business.
• Maintain accurate sales records, forecasts, and account information in hotel sales systems.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities.
• Achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual catering sales goals.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while upholding Embassy Suites, Hilton, and Commonwealth Hotels standards.
