Qualifications

Role Description

The Catering Sales Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at Wyndham Deerfield Beach Resort in Deerfield Beach, FL. This position is responsible for generating and managing catering sales, including prospecting new business, responding to inquiries, preparing proposals and contracts, and conducting site visits with potential clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with clients to plan events, coordinating menus and setup with the food and beverage team, and ensuring seamless execution of meetings, conferences, and social functions. The role also involves maintaining strong relationships with corporate and social clients, monitoring event details to ensure quality and guest satisfaction, and working closely with operations to meet revenue and service goals. The Catering Sales Manager will track performance, update sales reports, and contribute to sales strategies that enhance the resort’s catering portfolio.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in Catering Sales and Food & Beverage, with experience selling and servicing hotel or resort catering events.
• Proven abilities in Event Planning, including coordinating timelines, menus, room setups, and audiovisual requirements.
• Strong Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction skills, with a focus on building relationships and delivering high-quality guest experiences.
• Previous experience in hospitality, catering, or event management, preferably in a hotel or resort environment.
• Effective communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with operations and culinary teams.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple events and deadlines.
• Proficiency with sales and event management systems, and basic computer skills (e.g., MS Office).
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on event schedules.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
