Job summary

The Seagate Hotel, Golf & Beach Club, Autograph Collection is seeking a Social Catering Sales Manager to grow event and catering sales across the property. You will set goals, develop marketing strategies, and oversee catering operations for flawless execution that delights guests and members.

Lead a dynamic team, build relationships with clients and staff, and craft an engaging events calendar while ensuring profitability and exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in hospitality catering or events, preferably in high-volume country club catering.
• Knowledge of sales techniques with strong closing and negotiating skills.
• Comfortable with site inspections and client presentations.
• Strong planning, organizing, and creative event presentation skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team management abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CI/TY, Excel, and LightSpeed.
• Associate degree or higher in Hotel and Restaurant Management or a related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Ability to stand, walk, speak, and listen for extended periods.
• Capability to move and/or lift up to 50 lbs.
• Flexibility to work long hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Drive revenue growth for catering, aiming for high customer satisfaction and service quality.
• Set event and sales goals; develop strategies through relationships, networking, advertising, and marketing.
• Collaborate with department heads to plan a diverse calendar of events for membership and referrals.
• Forecast monthly results and contribute to annual budgeting; report to senior leadership.
• Develop and execute marketing plans to generate catering events and revenue.
• Analyze market trends and competitor offerings to refine business plans.
• Assess each event opportunity to maximize revenue and client satisfaction.
• Promptly respond to inquiries (within 24 hours) and manage client interactions.
• Work with hotel departments to manage conventions, meetings, and incentives for profitability.
• Review contracted services for profitability and coordinate with culinary teams on menus.
• Coordinate with IT to manage audio/visual equipment as a profit center.
• Maintain long-term client relationships and book repeat business.
• Engage with industry groups (NACE, MPI) and trade shows to create bookings.
