Job summary

Proof of the Pudding is expanding into the Dallas area and seeks Prep Cooks to support catering events and provide culinary support in the main kitchen. This position is stationed at The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden facility in Dallas, TX.

You will set up stations, follow prep lists, measure ingredients, and assist chefs while maintaining sanitation and quality. The role requires 1+ year kitchen experience, ServSafe certification or training, and reliable commuting to Dallas.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of kitchen experience; catering preferred.
• Knowledge of food preparation and execution of BEOs and production sheets.
• ServSafe certification or willing to obtain training.
• Must be able to commute to Dallas, TX.

Responsibilities

• Set up and sanitize workstations.
• Follow prep lists created by lead culinary staff.
• Measure ingredients and prepare stock for cooking.
• Prepare simple dishes as directed by the Executive Chef.
• Ensure proper storage of food items and maintain sanitation.
• Assist chefs and attend to culinary tasks as needed.
• Monitor food and cooling temperatures.Maintain highest food quality with the kitchen team.
• Adhere to safety and sanitation paperwork and temperature logs.
