Job summary

Legends Global is seeking a Catering Coordinator to ensure the smooth execution of catering events and operations across multiple venues in the Grand Rapids area. You will coordinate with culinary, operations, and event sales teams to meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Reporting to the Catering Manager, the role requires flexibility among weekly events, strong organizational and communication skills, and proficiency with Caterease and Microsoft Office to support planning,

Qualifications

• Proven experience in catering operations, event planning, or hospitality management.
• Certificate in Food Safety required (TIPS, Servsafe).
• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, culinary arts, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Catering Manager and clients to understand event requirements and dietary needs.
• Coordinate with culinary, operations, and event sales teams for planning and execution.
• Schedule and oversee setup, equipment rentals, decor, and staffing.
• Assist with menu development and customization based on client preferences.
• Ensure timely delivery and setup of equipment, food, and beverages.
• Maintain inventory, manage vendor relationships, and assist with staffing schedules.
• Train and supervise catering staff; coach for high service quality.
• Serve as primary contact for clients; address questions and ensure satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and SOPs.
