Job summary

Legends Global, serving the LA Memorial Coliseum, is seeking a full-time F&B Catering Assistant Manager to oversee event execution, staffing, and administrative operations. You will manage a team and coordinate with Premium staff to ensure BEOs are followed and service standards are met.

Responsibilities include supervising 15+ employees, scheduling, financial reconciliation, and cross-department communication to deliver flawless catering experiences at major events in a fast-paced venue.

Qualifications

• Minimum four years of managerial experience in catering, food and beverage, hospitality, or event operations.
• Experience supervising at least 15 employees
• Strong administrative, scheduling, and financial reconciliation skills.
• Experience executing BEOs and coordinating event changes across departments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and POS systems; Reserve experience required or strongly preferred.
• Excellent organizational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Union experience preferred.
• Availability to work a full-time schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee catering events from setup to breakdown and post-event closeout.
• Execute published BEOs and coordinate changes with the Premium team.
• Communicate updated event details to departments (menus, guest counts, timelines, staffing).
• Lead and develop a team of 15+ union and non-union staff; schedule and performance management.
• Partner with Staffing to establish staffing levels and shift details.
• Maintain accurate BEOs, event records, consumption updates, and notes.
• Reconcile catering payments with Finance to resolve discrepancies.
• Coordinate with Culinary, Operations, Staffing, Finance for successful events.
• Enforce food safety, sanitation, venue and union procedures.
