Join to apply for the Catering Lead role at Corner Bakery

The Catering Lead supervises total catering operations in one unit. This position includes duties such as catering order taking, driver scheduling, catering production and preparation, general cleanliness, and organization of the Catering Department. The Catering Supervisor works with outside customers and directly communicates with guests daily.

As the Catering Supervisor, you will supervise the preparation, presentation, and service of our food. The catering supervisor interacts closely with catering and retail employees as well as restaurant managers.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

1. Accepts and modifies orders over the phone using POS
2. Enters online orders into POS
3. Resolves guest concerns with manager approval
4. Assigns deliveries to catering employees
5. Begins and completes baking/food preparation
6. Assembles catering food in baskets, trays, and bowls
7. Makes deliveries by vehicle and/or foot
8. Responsible for breakfast and lunch preparation
9. Responsible for clean-up duties
10. Empties trash as required
11. Distributes catering tips daily
12. Executes Catering Sales Initiatives, including daily call backs, menu drops, community events, food tastings, and sales leads through territory canvassing
13. Secondary functions: Expo duties, cashier, dishwasher, line cook

• Maintains abundant FOH displays and condiment stations
• Checks bathrooms

• Prepares food to specifications and order requests
• Maintains accurate cash flow and financial transaction integrity
• Prepares and organizes food for delivery to guests

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent, or in process of completing
• Must complete CBC driver training, pass MVR, and maintain a valid driver's license with insurance
• State Foodhandler card/ServSafe certification as applicable
• Preferably at least 3 months experience in guest service, restaurant or retail environment preferred
• Proficient in MS Office and POS systems
• Strong guest service and communication skills
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Proficient in basic math skills
