Role Overview

As anExecutive Catering Chef at Sodexo, you’ll lead culinary operations for our client at Nationwide in Columbus, Ohio. Your expertise in catering will shine as you prepare, plate, and serve breakfast and lunch for distinguished guests. With a strong, hands-on approach to scratch catering, you’ll provide exceptional dining experiences while leading your team with passion and precision.

Our events range from Continental Breakfasts, Lunches to snack delivery, to 5 course plated meals, higher-end events range from Dinners, Receptions, and Holiday Parties for 10 to 5000 people.

What You'll Do
  • Lead the catering culinary team, providing both strategic direction and hands-on support as needed
  • Develop and execute menus that meet contract requirements and food cost targets
  • Bring artistic culinary flair to impress top-tier clients, while driving innovation and creativity in the kitchen
  • Stay ahead of culinary trends, ensuring menus are fresh, on-trend, and competitive with industry standards
  • Create sustainable, health-focused menus that align with current dietary trends and client preferences
  • Mentor and inspire kitchen staff, elevating their skills and ensuring high standards of quality, presentation, and food safety

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experienceMinimum Management Experience - 2 yearsMinimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
