Job summary

Summit Hospitality Group, representing the Residence Inn Downtown, seeks a Catering Sales Manager to drive top-line catering revenue through direct sales, marketing, and client tours. You will develop relationships with corporate and travel-industry accounts while coordinating event details and ensuring exceptional service.

The role requires at least two years of sales experience in hospitality, strong communication, and the ability to manage contracts, orders, and cross-functional collaboration

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent in Hospitality Management/experience preferred.
• A minimum of two years of sales experience; catering sales experience strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with food and beverage service, menu planning and private/group event coordination.
• Excellent writing and speaking skills to produce effective sales and marketing communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and foster group catering and dining business through direct sales efforts, marketing, and tours of hotel for meetings and events.
• Handle inquiry calls, solicit, negotiate, and confirm new and repeat catering and group dining business.
• Monitor all direct and indirect lead channels responding to catering and group dining leads.
• Plan, up-sell, and coordinate function details with client including space, meeting/event times, equipment, AV, menus, and billing.
