Job summary

Summit Hospitality Group, Ltd. is seeking a Catering Sales Manager for the Residence Inn Downtown in Raleigh. The role drives group catering and dining revenue through direct sales, marketing, and tours, building strong client relationships and delivering service excellence.

The CSM will manage inquiries, negotiate contracts, schedule site visits, and coordinate event details with hotel operations to ensure client satisfaction and profitable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or equivalent in Hospitality Management or related experience preferred.
• Minimum two years of sales experience; catering sales experience preferred.
• Familiarity with food & beverage service, menu planning and event coordination.
• Strong written and spoken communication; customer-focused.
• MS Word/Excel/Outlook and Delphi Sales & Catering familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Develop and foster group catering and dining business through direct sales, marketing, and tours.
• Handle inquiries, solicit, negotiate, and confirm new and repeat catering and group dining business.
• Schedule site visits and assist walk-in clients with informative, positive experiences.
• Prepare and execute catering contracts and banquet event orders.
• Coordinate function details with clients and hotel operations.
• Develop and implement sales strategy; analyze market trends.
• Lead weekly Banquet Event Order meetings and report to Sales Director.
