Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) Dining Services is seeking a Catering Event Coordinator to oversee campus catering operations, plan events, coordinate with culinary teams, and ensure top-notch service. This role emphasizes cost awareness, scheduling, and adherence to safety standards.

The candidate will work with multiple departments, manage staff, and help drive guest satisfaction and revenue while aligning with university policies and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in food service administration or related field preferred.
• Two years' catering event planning experience preferred.
• Knowledge of IDPH regulations and food safety practices required.
• Ability to read and enforce sanitation/HACCP procedures.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate catering events across campus locations and assist with service planning.
• Supervise assigned staff and ensure timely execution of events.
• Promote excellent customer service and maintain high standards.
• Collaborate with culinary staff and leadership to improve operations and revenue.
• Assist with budgeting, cost analysis, and financial management.
