THE ROLE

The Catering Houseman plays a crucial role in orchestrating seamless events atop one of the city’s most iconic landmarks. They are responsible for the setup, breakdown, and maintenance of event spaces, ensuring that each function reflects the high standards and breathtaking ambiance that define View Boston.

ESSENTIAL DUTES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Execute the setup and breakdown of event spaces, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, and other event equipment, in accordance with event specifications.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of event areas before, during, and after functions.
• Collaborate with the catering and events team to ensure timely and efficient room turnovers.
• Handle furniture and equipment with care, ensuring proper storage and maintenance.
• Assist in the transportation of supplies and materials to and from storage areas.
• Respond promptly to guest and staff requests during events, providing exceptional service and support.
• Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines, maintaining a secure environment for guests and staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management team.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in event setup or hospitality roles is advantageous.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Flexibility to work various event-based shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
