Description

The Busser is responsible for bussing, clearing, and re-setting tables. Other responsibilities include maintaining the cleanliness of the restaurant and assisting guests as needed. The Busser reports directly to the FOH Manager or Manager on Duty.

• Clears away dishes from guests.
• Wipes down tabletops and chairs and resets tabletops with place settings.
• Inspects and cleans carpet and flooring when debris or liquids are detected.
• Responds to guest questions and makes recommendations as appropriate.
• Sets up and maintains side work, including setting up tables at the beginning or end of shifts.
• Carries trays to the dishwasher, unloads, and wipes trays clean.
• Scrapes and stacks dishes; returns dirty dishes and silverware to the dishwashing area, sorting and placing them in the prescribed area for washing.
• Stocks stations with roll-ups and placemats.
• Checks restrooms for cleanliness.
• Responds to additional guest requests and assists servers with their tables as needed.
• Inspects floors for debris or spills and sweeps or dries as necessary.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned by management.
