Job summary

NEXDINE Hospitality in Boston, MA is seeking a Catering Coordinator to oversee and execute client catering events, manage staff, and ensure top-tier service.

You will assist with menu planning, event setup and breakdown, coordinate with the Chef Manager, supervise cooks, and maintain food safety and quality. This role offers a full-time schedule with weekly pay and benefits, plus opportunities for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years’ experience in catering or similar position preferred.
• ServSafe Certification required.
• Choke Safety Certification required.
• Allergen Awareness Certification (MA) required.
• TIPS Alcohol Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, execution and coordination of catering events per client standards with Chef Manager.
• Provide oversight of catering services to ensure client satisfaction.
• Meet with prospective clients to discuss event requirements, including menu, setup and scheduling.
• Assist in setup/breakdown of events, supervise staff during events.
• Ensure safety, sanitation and food handling best practices are followed; maintain vendor relationships as needed.
• Assist with staffing requirements and scheduling to ensure timely service.
• Assist with cost controls and inventory for catering operations.
