Job summary

Power Design’s Surge Café in St. Petersburg, FL, is seeking a Catering Coordinator to join our growing team. This on-campus role supports our corporate headquarters cafe, building relationships with PDI employees and guests while delivering our PlusONE customer service experience.

You’ll plan menus, coordinate deliveries, manage events, ensure health and safety, and maintain records. A 2–5 year hospitality background, friendly demeanor, and strong multitasking are essential for success.

Qualifications

• At least 2–5 years of experience in hospitality or service industry.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
• Engaging and outgoing personality to build relationships and ensure satisfaction.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and problem-solve with a customer-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers to understand catering needs and expectations.
• Plan menus in conjunction with chefs and management.
• Coordinate and oversee on-campus food and beverage delivery.
• Manage catering execution and provide direction and feedback.
• Maintain health and safety regulations at all food service areas.
• Set up, break down, and clean catering events.
• Handle client concerns and complaints professionally and promptly.
• Manage budget and invoicing, ensuring payments and contracts are in order.
• Oversee catering supplies and equipment and keep detailed event records.
• Assist in food and beverage preparation and service as needed.

While working at the on-campus café at our corporate headquarters in sunny St. Pete, you will play a pivotal role in helping keep our culture fueled by building relationships with our PDI employees and guests. We are seeking candidates who can work in an evolving environment and deliver our "PlusONE" raving-fan customer service experience to the PDI Family.

• Managing budget and invoicing, ensuring payments and contracts are in order.
• Managing catering supplies and equipment.
• Maintain detailed records of all catering events.
• Assist in the preparation and serving of food and beverages as needed.
• Manage and maintain Surge restaurant application.
• Other cafe tasks as assigned.
