This Catering Coordinator position is scheduled for 8:00AM-4:30PM, Tuesday through Saturday (off Sunday and Monday). Please only apply if interested in this schedule.

Requirements

• Lift up to 40 lbs
• Push up to 150 lbs
• Constant standing and walking

Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions

• Perform cashier duties in KU Hospital Cafeteria, including setting up cash drawer, verifying menu prices, and handling receipts.
• Set up, monitor, serve, and clean up catering events throughout the medical center/hospital complex.
• Support food production, cafeteria, coffee shop, and support services; cross-trained to work in Physician’s Lounge. Maintain food, product, and supply quality and safety following HACCP standards. Rotate stock and move supplies to proper storage areas.
• Operate, monitor, set up, deliver, pick up, and clean equipment used for job duties according to standards.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and sanitation in work and service areas as per requirements and supervisor instructions.
• Assist in the dishroom when necessary to support catering and cafeteria functions.
• Clean and straighten dining areas, including trash removal and table cleaning.
• Perform the professional, clinical, and technical competencies required of the unit or department.
• Other duties as assigned, based on departmental needs.

Preferred Education and Experience

• High School diploma or GED
• At least 1 year of experience using a cash register (training provided on the specific system used)
